The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He tests and evaluates cleaning equipment. His focus is on mopping and robot vacuum combinations. These multitaskers can be ideal for those who want to remove mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping and obstacles-avoiding capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mop, this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than the other options which makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one sweep. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and droppings effortlessly. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help draw away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for its mopping function and is separate from the vacuum. It is simple to install and performs well. However, if  robot vacuum uk  are buying this robot vacuum for mopping purposes it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an efficient, flexible and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also find furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean efficiently and methodically. This leads to an efficient, consistent clean that's also fairly fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other difficult to reach places. They also have a stretchy side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads are able to be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the strength of suction and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random patterns. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.

The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of advanced features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device is subject to regular expenses, such as mopping supplies as well as regular maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months.

The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide variety of physical automation features. The vacuum also has an power button that doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin, fills up its water tank, and wash and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time doing chores. It is a powerful machine with smart navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it utilizes when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which help to protect certain areas of your house from being swept with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up pet hair. It was able to collect the majority of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was quiet and had some lovely jingles to indicated when it was starting or finished its work.

The app was too simple and you had to change the modules every time you changed between mops and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can do both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it comes with some distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognising objects.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with obstacles, like the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you manually free it. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This can lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for a market dominated by clunky boxy units.
