Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one session without the need to change devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you up and running with a clean, full dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at a high speed and utilize 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could choose to have the robot clean up the living and kitchen areas but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too, with the robot being capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only minor issue is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, a quick glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance tasks need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray, and washing the water tank that is dirty. robot vacuums uk into the water tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. You can also view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easy to understand, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop, is the most up-to-date version. It's not like the model from last year, this one features a double agitator in its mopping pad, which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners could miss.
Like the other two Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining whether they are walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its path and clean around them without missing a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons: the power button, which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock and a home button to bring the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these advanced features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app also lets you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll need to jump through a series of steps to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame, considering how well-performing it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with innovative features, superior suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. robot vacuum uk allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the top options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry messes. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
Another notable feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It can also get under furniture with low profile, making it an excellent option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice touch that helps the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can do both vacuuming and mopping simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled using the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is user-friendly and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, switch modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also monitor its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's among the most expensive models available, but it packs in numerous extra features that set it apart. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is an option we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. The app lets you define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has a lot of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are numerous features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically increases suction power whenever it detects dust particles, instead of relying on the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at around 4kg but it's not too heavy, and it is sturdy and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent, and the double rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. They can also extend to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice addition.
